Valves EN 15089

MAIN  FEATURES  OF  RO-BO  VALVES  CERTIFIED EN 15089

Rotary valves made by RO-BO has been designed for bulk materials handling and dosing both for powders and grains. Thanks to the over 50-years experience, often anticipating and adapting new technologies to industry, we are   proud to present this line of  BIDIRECTIONAL EXPLOSION BARRIER ROTARY VALVES,  certified by the  Physical Technical Testing Institute in Ostrava - Radvanice . This certifies that the valves fully comply with the standards
EN 15089:2009 - EN 13463-1:2009 - EN 13463-5:2011 and also functions as a mechanical isolation by explosions, occurring both upstream and downstream of the valve.

SECURITY

Rotary valves certified  EN 15089  are intended for use in  ATEX ZONE 20  inside and  1/21  outside.   In the case in which the valve is installed where the insulation explosion system is not required,  is suitable for ATEX  0 /20 inside and 1/21 outside.

MIE
minimum ignition energy :  ≤  3 mJ

RELIABILITY
The proverbial reliability of our products was further increased in this series of valves, in order to ensure years of safe working and without MAINTENANCE
Rotors are HARDENED AND BALANCED and during assembly are regulated, through special micrometrics registers, in the optimal placement in order to obtain a smooth and quiet rotation that does not generate undesirable increases of temperature and wear.
Stators are inspected on a random time to ensure uniformity in the standard of quality required by the project .
Bearings and Seals are chosen from the catalog of the best European producers.
After assembly, each valve is tested and sealed before shipping.
The valves are sealed so as not to compromise the calibration of the internal registers, so it is forbidden tampering with them, otherwise you lose the warranty.
Accordingly, it is prohibited to modify the valve, otherwise the immediate termination of any warranty. According to regulation, it is mandatory to fix the time within which bearings and seals must be replaced. But as the valve cannot be touched by unauthorized persons, on the rating plate is an indication, in working hours, within which to carry out the review , also established based on the product worked .
In this regard, a reference table is available on the user's manual.

MAINTENANCE
NONE ,  LUBRICATION INCLUDED, except for periodic checks or otherwise indicated on the user manual.

ASSEMBLY
Made according to a methodology, by now worldwide unique, which need experience and absolute precision, allows us to still be able to do it our streamlined corporate structure, with excellent workmanship and well-defined final goal: absolute quality for maximum customer satisfaction.
This is also why our valves are different (for the better) from all the others: manual assembly with verification and final test of each valve before shipment.
NB   :   EN15089   CERTIFIED VALVES   WILL BE   PROVIDED   ONLY   WITH   ATEX GEARBOX   INSTALLED .

CONSTRUCTION

And now let’s move to some observations about the components of a rotary valve and the materials used :
Rotary valves are assemblies made by different components :

STATOR  (BODY OF THE VALVE): it is made by cast-iron, with the add of NICHEL  to have features of constant homogeneity and to increase significantly mechanical properties, such as: hardness, toughness, WEAR RESISTANCE.
SIDES: they are made from the same production cycle of the stator.
ROTOR: it is generally made by two parts: the internal core and the blades that make the "star" of sectors.    Blades are welded to the core part.  Each rotor is adjusted to its exact working position by a series of Micrometric Registers,  positioned within the valve in the vicinity of the rolling elements. , also for this is forbidden to open the valve: this would jeopardize the settings of the registers resulting in malfunction of the valve.
Warning: The restore process can only be carried out at our facility, debiting  the costs of intervention. Is well, then, you follow the instructions in the user manual, avoiding any tampering.

CONSTRUCTION FEATURES
